Exciting News from the Healing Touch Program

January 22, 2104

Healing Touch Certification (HTC) and Healing Touch Program are pleased to announce that the Healing Touch Certified Practitioner (HTCP) credential has become the first Energy Medicine profession to achieve accreditation through the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA), the accrediting body of the Institute for Credentialing Excellence (ICE). HTC is joining an elite group of certifying bodies dedicated to public protection and excellence in certification.

Now, all Healing Touch professionals who hold the Healing Touch Certified Practitioner (HTCP) credential through the Healing Touch Certification (HTC) can proudly say that their certification is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA), Washington, D.C.

To earn accreditation, the Healing Touch Certification (HTC) program underwent intensive review demonstrating compliance with the 21 standards set by NCCA for verifying professional competency. This evaluation considered every aspect of the HTC certification program, including: administrative procedures, job analysis, test development, test security, standard setting, eligibility criteria, board responsibilities, ongoing review of all policies and procedures, and verification of reliability and validity of the credential.

It is a milestone in the validation of the HTCP credential and practice to receive this designation from NCCA, a highly respected organization whose purpose is to promote excellence in competency assurance. As energy therapists, we are aware of the uphill struggle to receive recognition for the profession to which we dedicate our lives.  It is with great pleasure that we share this honor with all our Healing Touch practitioners who have contributed to the development of the HTCP credential.
